Dr. Godwin hosted a Patient Appreciation Day March 16 and named our Eglin Fisher House as a beneficiary. They raised awareness, celebrated their patience on their health journey AND netted an $1110 donation to bless military and veteran families staying with us for hope and

Dr. Andrew Godwin is a chiropractor, acupuncturist, and functional medicine doctor who serves Fort Walton Beach and the surrounding communities in Florida. He uses chiropractic care to improve the health and wellness in all areas of patient’s lives, whether they are having problems with back pain or neck pain, or just want to start feeling better when they wake up in the morning. “I travelled all the way from RAF Alconbury in England to receive some much-needed mental health treatment here in Florida. The Fisher House was a true blessing. I was able to stay for a full 4-week treatment program and not worry about an overpriced hotel stay without options for cooking my own meals. The staff here was very kind and helpful throughout my stay. I truly appreciated the warm hospitality and comfortable environment. God Bless you all!”

“My daughter was suddenly hospitalized at Eglin AFB last week and I drove from Jacksonville to be with her for an undetermined number of days. I started in a hotel room, but one of the nurses at the Eglin hospital told me about Fisher House, which I knew nothing about. What an absolutely incredible and pleasant surprise! From the moment I walked in and met Robert, to the moment I left, Fisher House was nothing but a God-sent blessing for me. It allowed me to focus my time and attention on my daughter and not worry about the logistics of my stay. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love and grace of Fisher House. Merry Christmas!”

The support of their amazing staff is unlimited, I just feel so much better, both mentally and physically. Destin Woman Club Fashion Show returns November 4

Please join the Destin Woman’s Club for their annual “Glitz & Glamour” Fashion Show and Luncheon on Friday, November 4, 2022, at the Louisiana Lagniappe in Destin. Proceeds will benefit Fisher House of the Emerald Coast and the DWC Family Assistance Fund, which serves to aid and assist the needy in Okaloosa and Walton counties.

The doors of the Louisiana Lagniappe will open at 10:45am for the Silent Auction and Cash Bar. Tickets $70 (non-refundable) and include complimentary Valet Parking.
