A Home Away From Home for Military Families

Fisher House of the Emerald Coast is a local, all-volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the military and veteran families of Northwest Florida during times of medical need. Our home is a place of comfort, community, and calm — just minutes from Eglin Air Force Base and local medical facilities.

For military families, an unexpected medical emergency can mean travel, hotel bills, and long stretches away from the people who love them most. Our home removes that burden so families can focus on healing — together, at no cost.

What we do

• Provide private guest suites and shared living spaces for military and veteran families at no charge.
• Coordinate meals, transportation help, and comfort items through volunteer partners.
• Steward donations from our Emerald Coast community — every dollar stays local.
• Advocate for and honor our service members through year-round community programs.

Our people

We are led by an all-volunteer Board of Directors, guided by lifetime directors, and supported by a small staff and a large community of volunteers, sponsors, and partners.
